Intro Post: What to Expect from Sexology Bae

WHAT I'M ABOUT: I'll just put it out there in the simplest terms for everyone who reads this. I am a Black feminist who is pro-just about everything: pro-hoe, pro-sex, pro-sex work, pro-sex workers, pro-gender inclusiveness, pro-fat, pro-ratchetness, pro-kink, pro-body, pro-YOU. I will always do my best to not try to tell you what you should do with your life. I just want to present facts informed by my experiences for you to make the best decisions for yourself. Even if you ask me a question, I'll answer it directly without trying to make a decision for you. Remember though, I'm not a doctor and won't make medical decisions.

WHAT'S NOT GONNA HAPPEN: I will not tolerate racism, sexism, ableismmisogynoir, homophobia, transphobia, fatphobia, kink-shaming, whorephobia, colorism, or any of the other -isms in this space. I don't have a perfect social analysis and don't claim to, so there will be moments where I get things wrong too. I encourage readers to check me on that. I think productive debate is important and don't want people to be afraid to ask questions, but also understand that people can choose not to engage in a debate or conversation with someone. Google still exists.

***quick note on language: when referring to sex and relationships, I will do my best to use non-gendered terms when referring to body parts, sex acts, and relationship arrangements. This is done out of respect for people between and outside of the gender binary who struggle with accessing inclusive information on sex and relationships.***

TRIGGER WARNINGS: The primary function of this website is as a tool for sex education and advice about body image, so people who might find this kind of content triggering in general should understand that before moving forward. I will post trigger/content warnings on posts that contain material I know can be especially sensitive, such as domestic abuse, mental illness, eating disorders, sexual assault, religion, and discussions on STDs/STIs.

MOST IMPORTANTLY: I want to hear from you! I created this space for young people who have questions that they can't find good answers to. But I don't know what to answer if no one's asking me anything! I will post regularly on topics I think are important, but I encourage y'all to use the Google Form in the "Ask Sexology Bae" tab to ask me questions or tell me something you want to know more about. Talk to each other using the forum! .
